Life is getting in the way . . .
. . . of my plans. Or to put it another way, It's tangle time has become untangled effective immediately. While I won't be scheduling any more classes I will still be available to answer questions or to teach a private class from time to time.

Four autographed books in my hands!
"Rick and Maria are good company as they take you on a creative journey to a place of peace, empowerment, and unlimited potential through this introduction to Zentangle." From the flyleaf of the just published Book of Zentangle. Meredith Yuhas, Ph.D. continues, "Whether for fun, focus, meditation, or therapy, this art form has something for everyone."
I ordered five. Finally they arrived and dinner was put on hold until I'd opened the box and leafed through the 129 pages. Oh my, this will take more than a perusal. Days have passed and still I haven't finished exploring the patterns, ideas, comments, and more.
If you would like a signed copy, contact me . . . quickly . . . I have four left.

I so appreciate the internet . . .
If it didn't exist I wouldn't know about Zentangle for one thing. Another is that I wouldn't have been introduced to an interesting young man named Zachary. This morning I visited the official Zentangle blog and read about a video made by Zach, it's called "Zentangle in Motion." I watched it and was charmed completely by the effort it took to draw and then capture 974 pictures and produce a time-lapse video. You see, Anything is possible, one stroke at a time.™

Movies and Me
I started this post months ago, as you can tell by the following. I know it has nothing to do with Zentangle, but apparently blogs are all about 'me' and this is 'me to a T.'
Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris opened Friday. A friend recommended it so I convinced myself I should give movie-going another try. I slipped into the theater in time to be assaulted with 15+ minutes of heart-stopping clamor as the previews of coming attractions thundered into my body.
The cacophony melted into softly illumined street scenes of Paris with music from the 20's setting the scene. Ah, this soothed my ruffled feathers and I relaxed and prepared to be charmed by the take of a young writer. Alas, I wasn't charmed; I started picking everything but the scenery apart and wound up leaving the theater mid-way through the movie with a vow to never get suckered into going to a movie again. Ever! OK, not ever, but I will be even more selective in the future.
Netflix asked me to take a survey once so they could suggest movies I would enjoy. By the time I finished I hooted when I read their suggested list. It began with Bambi! I think I'll stick with books. . . I'm such a wuss!

It's my turn . . .
. . . to take a class. I'm in Northfield, MN at the Midwest Art and Lettering Retreat taking a four day workshop with Sandy Steen Bartholomew, the author of my favorite Zentangle books. To say I'm thrilled is an understatement. The first day isn't even over and I'm bubbling with ideas for my next class - goodness after day four I'll be flying home under my own power.
